Holy Eucharist:

The Second Vatican Council proclaimed that the Eucharistic Sacrifice is the "source and summit of the Christian life." The Eucharist is the heart and source of community within the Church. The essential signs of the sacrament are bread and wine, on which the blessing of the Holy Spirit is invoked during the Sacrifice of the Mass, and the priest pronounces the words of consecration spoken by Jesus at the Last Supper: "This is my body which will be given up for you...This is the cup of my blood..." [Matthew 26:26-28, Mark 14:22-24, 1 Corinthians 11:23-25].

In the Spring, third grade students who have been attending a Catholic Elementary School and children who have been attending the Faith Formation Process by grade one celebrate their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

Adults and children who have reached the age of reason (8 or 9 years of age and older) who come into the parish seeking the Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation are prepared through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults Process
