Parish Nursing

Health and Spirituality Committee

This committee is part of the Parish Nursing Ministry and seeks to bring information and programs to the parish which will aid in better understanding of the body, mind and spirit.

What this ministry is about

Parish volunteers who along with a priest and a parish nurse:

  • Help to promote the health of the parishioners
  • Work to develop programs to meet the needs of the members of the parish.
  • Provide leadership in setting up health programs, always remembering that a great part of health care ministry involves the spirituality of a parishioner.
  • Parishioners interested in whole person health matters for the congregation and the community.
  • Includes members interested in children, youth, all ministries of men and women, caring for the elderly, outreach ministries, and the general well-being of all

Programs are for:

For the body: By stimulating a belief that your body is not only a gift, but His dwelling place.

For the mind: By empowering persons who are grounded in faith to identify and adopt healthy attitudes and behaviors.

For the Spirit: By encouraging individuals and groups to seek a deeper relationship with God, who restores their health and gives fullness of life.
