So, they decided to design a <\/span>new system from scratch<span >. One of the main goals of the system is to store data on all the consumptions and actions of clients. Since the product is also a billing system, it also serves to process and calculate data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span >This is a <\/span><b>Big Data project<\/b><span>.<\/span> <span >A key feature of the system is the storage and processing of large data arrays. The scale of the system can be compared with Spotify, Yandex.Music, and so on. The system processes billions of files per day, and receives approximately 600 thousand records per second. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div <\/span><b>Cassandra database<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was used as storage. Several data centers located in different regions were used to ensure data integrity and load balancing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As for billing, the system is not able to issue invoices itself, but it processes the data that is used for this purpose. For processing and calculating the distributed data, the development team used <\/span><b>Apache Spark<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The system functions as data storage and a billing system for all clients\u2019 spendings and actions.. In addition to the fact that all data is stored in a distributed manner, it is processed and stored using microservices. Currently, there are about <\/span><b>20 microservices<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> within the system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To ensure system security, the <\/span><b>SFTP protocol<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Single Sign-on (SSO) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">technology, and <\/span><b>data encryption<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are used.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To ensure system security, the <strong>SFTP protocol, Single Sign-on (SSO)<\/strong> technology, and <strong>data encryption<\/strong> are used.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"text-content-of-portfolio-block content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"text-content-of-portfolio-block__headline\"> Methodology &amp; Transparency<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"text-content-of-portfolio-block__text\"> <p>At the initial stage, the project was developed according to the <strong>Scrum methodology<\/strong> with two-week sprints. At the end of each sprint, the whole dev team including business analysts discussed the demo versions. Once a month the development team presented demo versions directly to the client.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the project, the team was growing. For convenience, a special Slack chat was created for daily meetings.
